Juniper

"Juniper", acrylic and mixed media on wood, 36" x 48" x 2", Carole Sesko 2008

“Juniper” captures my memory of a resting spot found on one of my hikes along the High Sierra. That particular day the sky was an intense Tahoe blue, and the weathered tree trunk shone silvery gray. Juniper trees are shaped by their resilience to the trials of wind and weather, which contributes to their unique character and strength. I think this analogy applies to people as well.
